Age & ID Policies

Adult ID Policy

Adults who are ready to get pierced must provide a government-issued photo ID (i.e. a State ID Card, Driver's License, or Passport). The ID cannot be expired and must be documented every time you receive a new piercing, even if you have shown it on a prior occasion.

Piercing Minors with Parental Consent

At Lemonade Piercing, we currently offer earlobe piercings to minors as young as 13 years old. We offer a kind, honest, communicative, and encouraging environment but understand that some kids may not be ready on the day. We encourage all parents to call us ahead of their appointment to get information about the piercing experience. For the safety and comfort of our customers, we never pierce with mechanical devices or "piercing guns."

Teens are able to receive limited navel, facial, and ear piercings. Many piercings including navel, industrial, and eyebrow piercings are anatomy-dependent and require a brief consultation ahead of time. We do not offer oral or surface piercings to anyone under 18. By law, a parent or legal guardian must be present in the room during the piercing procedure.

We review, reflect, and update our age limitations from time to time based on our availability. Although historically we have offered earlobe piercings to children as young as 3, we do not offer these services currently. We are so happy to answer any questions and make studio referrals whenever possible.
